Development Of Website
We’re looking for an individual / small firm to design a user friendly website based on the website www.groupon.com . Please respond to this request with the information listed below (2 website examples that you’ve designed are similar to what we are looking for or else your response will be deleted)
In terms of our specifics, we require:
1) Someone to design a logo that could go in the top left (Where groupon logo currently is)
2) We need a segment on the top for them to choose different cities (Where content can be different for different cities)
3) We also need a section to get daily alerts (which is the other option listed under the top section on groupon)
4) We want a way for the website to know what city they are coming from (so they will get directed to the correct section of our website ideally – or at least allow them to choose a section and have it remember their city in the future).
5) We want a section w/ today’s information (and a separate section for recent information)
6) We want a form for them to “join our database” (which should require verification, for example, if they enter their zip code, we want to make sure they enter all numbers and not letters, etc – the more verified it is, the better)
7) We want a way for them to share information with their friends on facebook, twitter, or via email 
We would like to have a discussion board, where people can post their comments
9) The website optimized so we can place advertisements in sections that will draw the user to them and ideally cause them to click on the advertisements
10) We need a way for the “today” information to go the “recent” information after a day or 2
11) A contact form
12) When people sign up via email, we’ll need some sort of email verification system for them to click on a link to ensure their email address is real.
Now what groupon.com has that we DO NOT need:
1) we do not need you to create an “account” for the users of our website
Our 2 main concerns:
1) We are very price conscious
2) We are very design conscious (and want something that is eye appealing and very functional for the user)
